A custom triangular pavilion for Ubisoft's flagship gaming convention presence, multi-franchise, multi-zone, with a centerpiece reveal that pulled crowds across the show floor.

The brief

Ubisoft needed a flagship pavilion for a major gaming convention. They wanted a single space that could showcase multiple AAA franchises (Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, Watch Dogs, Just Dance, and more) without any one feeling like a satellite.

The challenge was scale and zoning. A traditional single-zone booth would have been too cluttered for the volume of franchise content. They needed an architectural pavilion with distinct experience zones, a hospitality area for press, a stage for live demos, and a central reveal moment that would draw show-floor crowds without requiring constant on-mic hyping.

Our approach

We proposed a triangular pavilion: three distinct facade walls, each anchoring a major franchise, converging on an open central reveal zone. The geometry let crowds flow around all three sides without bottlenecking, while the central convergence created the photo moment.

Key design moves:

  • Triangular footprint: three franchise-anchored facades, no zone competing with another
  • Branded entry tower: visible from across the show floor, doubled as orientation landmark
  • Multi-zone activation: demo stations on franchise walls, photo ops at corners, central reveal stage
  • Cinematic-scale screens: wraparound LED on facade walls for trailer playback at native 4K
  • Hospitality lounge: elevated viewing platform overlooking the central reveal

The execution

End-to-end in our shop: structural metalwork for the pavilion frame, custom millwork for the demo stations and hospitality lounge, integrated LED rigs throughout. Fabrication ran 14 weeks. Crating to fit standard ocean-freight containers (the show was overseas).

On-site install was 4 days with our crew. Pre-show rehearsal day for AV calibration. Show ran 5 days. Dismantle in 2 days, refurb back at the shop for the next franchise rotation.

The result

The Ubisoft Pavilion drew the highest dwell time of any booth in its hall (per the show's tracker beacons), and the central reveal moment generated coverage across major gaming press outlets. Photo ops were used in over 4,000 social posts.

The pavilion is now in our climate-controlled storage between shows, with graphics rotating per franchise launch cycle. We've delivered it three times to date.
