A permanent retail manufacturing build-out for Richelieu, cabinet-grade millwork displays, integrated lighting, designer consultation zones for North America's leading hardware distributor.
Richelieu, the leading distributor of cabinet hardware and decorative architectural products in North America, needed a permanent showroom build for one of their flagship distribution centers, a space that would let architects, contractors, and designers experience the product range hands-on.
This wasn't a trade show booth. It was a retail manufacturing build-out: fixed millwork, integrated lighting, demo cabinetry that needed to feel cabinet-grade itself. The space had to convince working professionals that Richelieu's hardware was worth specifying on serious projects.
We treated the showroom like a high-end residential interior. Premium materials, considered lighting, custom millwork built to cabinet-grade standards (because the visiting clientele can spot anything less). The hardware is the showroom. The architecture had to disappear into beautiful frames around it.
Key design moves:
This was a 12-week build (6 weeks design, 6 weeks fabrication and install). All millwork built in our shop and delivered as flat-pack components for on-site assembly. Lighting and electrical coordinated with the building's existing systems.
Install was 2 weeks on-site, including final paint and finishing. Final commissioning included lighting calibration with Richelieu's product team to ensure every product was lit to flatter its finish.
"We were blown away by FC Exhibits' expertise and attention to detail. The final product was even better than we imagined." , Patel J., Richelieu
The showroom became Richelieu's primary client-experience destination for the region. Designer and architect appointments doubled in the six months following opening. The space has been the venue for Richelieu's product launch events ever since.
